These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Kaelo AI mobile application and website operated by Klyftig ("we", "our", or "us"). By using Kaelo AI, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Kaelo AI, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Service Description

Kaelo AI is an AI-powered nutrition tracking application that helps users log food intake, track macronutrients, manage weight goals, and receive personalized meal suggestions. The service includes AI food photo analysis, barcode scanning, water and weight logging, recipe management, and meal planning features.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Kaelo AI offers free and premium subscription tiers. Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and managed via RevenueCat. Subscription terms, pricing, trial periods, and cancellation policies are displayed in the app at the time of purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (food photos, custom foods, recipes). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display it as necessary to provide the service. We do not sell your content to third parties.

6. AI Disclaimer

Kaelo AI is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. AI-generated nutritional estimates, calorie calculations, and meal suggestions are approximations and may contain errors. Always consult a healthcare professional before making significant dietary changes. We are not liable for health decisions made based on Kaelo AI's output.

7. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
• Share your account credentials with others
• Upload malicious content or abuse the AI features
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the service

8. Intellectual Property

Kaelo AI, its design, code, AI models integration, and branding are owned by Klyftig. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the service without our written permission. Third-party content (USDA food data, OpenAI analysis) is subject to their respective licenses.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Klyftig shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Kaelo AI. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via the account deletion page. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
